Night of the Demons (2010)

Night of the Demons (2010)

This remake of Night of the Demons from 1988 didn't turn out to bad.

Althought, I am a big fan of the original, I like this Night of the Demons, too!

Do you like it? Let me know what you think about this remake.

A good movie to look at on Halloween night.

"Night of Demons" is a campy romp of a movie. I mean that with respect and honor due the sub-genre of horror that this movie fits in to. The movie reminds me of my many ventures through professional haunted houses designed to entertain. The performers are here to give us thrills and chills, and this movie delivers with the visual shocker of the horrific demons portrayed. There are several parts to the movie that have disgusting moments to them, and cause anyone with a weak stomach to gag. This is the perfect "date night" horror movie for older teens. Younger teens might be put off by some of the overly sexual themes to the movie, but that just undergirds the wretchedness and perversion of what the demons are attempting to do. Overall, I give this movie a solid 5/5 bloody stumps. I was thrilled, and chilled, and that's what I look for in movies like this. It was a welcome break from the psychologically vexing horror movies that have such deep and complex story lines. Again, it was a great campy romp type horror movie, and worthy of a watch.

Side note: It was a pleasant surprise to see Edward Furlong and Shannon Elizabeth in this movie. With these two seasoned actors lending their talent to the cast it helped to carry the whole show. The rest of the cast made for great supporting roles, but these two were a pleasure to see.

Enjoy!
